Savannah Lee
Savannah is a passionate designer currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Interior Design at Florida State University, building upon the foundation she established with a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from Syracuse University.
With a keen interest in creating beautiful, functional spaces, Savannah's expertise spans across residential and commercial design, combining aesthetics with practicality to craft exceptional environments. She is committed to creating spaces that not only reflect personal style but also improve the quality of life for those who inhabit them.
During her time at Syracuse, Savannah honed her design skills while developing a deep understanding of the nuances of spatial design and architecture. Her academic journey has allowed her to explore various aspects of design, from theory to hands-on application, and she is now focusing on refining her craft through her graduate studies at Florida State University.
In addition to her academic and design pursuits, Savannah was a Global Ambassador for the Syracuse Abroad program, which gave her the opportunity to represent the university and connect with students studying abroad. She also served as an Orientation Leader at Syracuse University, helping incoming students navigate their transition to college life. These leadership roles allowed her to develop strong communication skills, cultural awareness, and a passion for guiding others.
Savannah has also been an active member of the Interior Design community, serving as the Vice President of Membership for the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) Syracuse University Campus Center. In this role, she worked to expand membership and engagement, organizing events that connected students with professionals in the design industry. Additionally, she was a member of the Black Student Union, where she worked to foster a sense of community and support for underrepresented students on campus.
Savannah has gained practical experience through internships, including one at HLW, where she worked alongside experienced professionals and contributed to a variety of design projects. Her time at HLW allowed her to strengthen her technical skills, furthering her understanding of the design process in a real-world setting. Additionally, her internship at CannonDesign provided hands-on experience and valuable insights into the industry, further enhancing her design capabilities.
Outside of her academic and professional pursuits, Savannah enjoys exploring new design trends, traveling, and seeking inspiration from the world around her. She is always looking for new ways to expand her creative horizons and deepen her understanding of the design world.
Savannah aspires to combine her design expertise with a commitment to sustainability, always striving to make a positive impact through her work.

As the Vice President of Membership, the primary responsibility is to recruit and retain members for the IIDA Campus Center. This includes developing strategies for membership growth, promoting the benefits of IIDA membership, and ensuring members are actively engaged with chapter events and initiatives. The Vice President of Membership also works closely with the President and other board members to help develop the overall vision for the chapter, and maintains communication with current members, ensuring they are informed of opportunities and events.

As an Orientation Leader, the responsibility is to welcome new students to the Syracuse University campus, providing them with essential information about student life, academics, and campus resources. Orientation Leaders play a key role in easing the transition for incoming students, helping them build connections, and creating a welcoming environment. They are committed to ensuring that new students feel supported and informed throughout their first days on campus.
